TransCure bioServices hires Benjamin TSCHUMI – New Deputy Project Officer

Benjamin Tschumi, PhD. Deputy Project Officer. Benjamin obtained his Master degree in Immunology and Oncology at the University of Lausanne. Being very enthusiastic about the novel and promising field of cancer immunotherapy, he joined the group of Prof. P. Romero at the Ludwig Center for Cancer Research of Lausanne as a PhD student. He graduated four years later in 2018 and stayed one more year as a post-doctoral fellow to complete his work. His research focused on preclinical mouse models of cancer immunotherapy and specifically on the optimization of the in vivo survival of engineered CAR-T cells and on the combination of immune-modulating lipid-based vaccines with checkpoint blockades. Benjamin has published 5 peer-reviewed articles, including one as first author. At Transcure bioServices, Benjamin is in charge of the execution of projects related to full human immune system mouse models for anti-HIV and cancer immunotherapies.
